Mindless Fluff....

Please excuse the following...

It's what I like to call "mindless fluff."

Honestly friends, I think I may have had one of the most stressful weeks of my life thus far.

So, I decided to blog about celebs...and fashion....and some things I am digging right now.

First, I am super jealous of this woman right now:

Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors. And awesome hot pink heels.

Good Jennifer Lopez looking hotter than ever or whaaaat?

I would kill for this dress. I am digging that neon/electric yellow color. Plus those heels?

Yes please!

Honestly, I am not crazy about her.

So, maybe her music gets me in the mood to party...or dance in the mirror when I am alone.

Annnnnd her ridiculous.

However, there is something about her personality...I just don't care for.

Maybe it's the whole "diva" thing.

If I figure it out (which I know will keep you up at night waiting on me to figure out) I will most def share it with you friends.

Next up, is this lady:

I think Kristin Cavallari looks adorable here.

Okay, don't get me wrong.

I've always been Team L.C. all the way!!

But, I think this dress...and her...look adorable.

Did you know she is planning on splitting her time now between Chicago and Nashville (being engaged to Jay Cutler and what not)?

I can respect that!

And finally on my celeb watch:

Jessica Simpson!

I really think she has looked just GORGEOUS pregnant!

I can't wait to see what her little bundle of joy will look like...or wear....

You know momma is going to dress that little girl in some cuttttte outfits.

(And noooooooo. Just because I am honing in on two pregnant ladies does not mean that I have babies on the brain...silly billies.)

Okay, onto some more fluffiness!

Thanks to The Life of Delta Daises, I ordered this shirt!

Old Navy

I love this color combo...and the sailboats are just too cute!

And because I was piddling around on the Old Navy website, I ordered this dress (as a possible Easter dress candidate):

I reallllyyy love the yellow color.

And then I ran across this dress...and because I was on a shopping binge..thinking ahead for future social engagements....thought it would be a lovely Spring/Summer addition:

It seems pretty classic.

So we'll see. I have buyer's remorse like no one you've ever met.

One of those will probably go back as soon as I get them in the mail.

But we'll see.

Mayyyyyybbbbe not.

Here's what I am loving right now:

Via Etsy

Tory Burch Miller Sandal

The fact that Adonis Thomas is coming back next year to play for the that means our starting lineup is going to AMAZING! GO TIGERS GO!

I am digging our new kitchen chalkboard flair:

Original artwork by Mrs. in Memphis...haha

And our new awesome flag for the front yard:

Yes, that is hay. We are trying to grow grass in our poor front yard!!

Can't wait for opening day!!

And finally the last thing I am loving right now....the hubs and I have a friend named "Trip the Tiger." He came with us on our first trip to Chicago...and made this most recent trip, too. He had whole Facebook albums dedicated to his travels...but I'll just leave you with a few of his personal favorites from this time around in the Windy City:

Dorkiness. I haz it.

Much love, ;)

Chicago Recap #4....The Final Recap....I Know You Are Relieved....

Hello friends!

How is your Sunday treating you?

I hope well.

The weather here in Memphis, Tennessee is just absolutely picture perfect

I hope it is from where you sit as well.

If not, schedule a meeting with mother nature.

Anywho, in true Jennifer-style, I am doing any and every thing not to work on homework right now.

So, I shall bring to close what was one of the most fun journeys of my life....

Yes, this is my last Chicago recap.

I know you are relieved.

So, on our last full day in Chicago, the hubs and I headed back to a place (well, different location) that we fell in love with the first time we went to Chicago.

Let me tell ya.

This is THE place to go for some yummy brunch.

The. best. omelets. ever.

Excited for yumminess.

I am also excited for yumminess. Btw, this is my new fav scarf. I just think it looks so Spring-y.  :)

I know I mentioned Orange in this post, and I will say it again. Orange remains a favorite!

As I mentioned in the previous post, we didn't get to do all the shopping we wanted to the day before.

I had only ONE store request the entire time we were in Chicago....and we made it on this day...

I was so excited!!

I can't even begin to describe to you how awesomely decorated the inside of a Tory Burch store is.

It had a downstairs AND an upstairs.

The hubs was so I just oohhhhed....and ahhhheed.

And if he were trying to gain 1109283839303 brownie points....he said: "Why don't you pick you out something?"

I justified it by saying: "Well, I mean, I DO have a birthday coming up."

(Um, yea my birthday is January 22. But hey, it IS coming up.)

So, after much contemplation, I decided on a wallet since I already have the TB flats.

This pic was actually taken at home like 5 minutes ago. Whoops.

I love my new wallet! It's just the perfect size and holds everything just the way I want it.

Thank you hubs.

You are the

So, after hitting up a few more stores, we dropped our bags off to the hotel and then made our way to Millennium Park!!

On our way to the Park.....

Clarence F. Buckingham Memorial Fountain...gorgeous! Just wished it would have been on ;(

Finally we made it over to Millennium Park. Home of the infamous Cloud Gate!

Our reflection. :)

I love this pic! It's probably one of my all time favorites. I am hugging the hubs because our first dance song just came over the loud speakers. He snapped a pic while I wasn't looking. :) Let's Stay Together!

Everyone else was taking a jumping pic. So I wanted one too!

Ice skating rink at the park. We were not brave enough to try.

With the city skyline in the reflection :)

In case you missed my super fun cheese fest video, here it is all its glory....

After fun times at Cloud Gate, we headed over to the Art Institute of Chicago.

We took a re-dokn-u-lous amount of pictures while in I'll just show you some highlights.

"American Gothic"

Not sure. Just a Georgia O'Keeffe I really liked.

Tiffany's stained glass.

"A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte"

Some cool furniture.

Chagall's "American Windows"

What a memorable experience. We saw so many famous paintings by Picasso...Monet...Renoir....

All the art was special...and... in different ways.

Definitely an educational experience!

After a very long day, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for our final dinner in the Windy City.

Hubs. Sporting a new snazzy shirt from H&M.

Sheer cardigan: Forever 21, Skinny Jeans: JcPenney, Bag: Kate Spade,  Shoes: Tory Burch flats

We wanted to keep it close to the hotel on our final evening. So we literally walked 30 seconds from the front door to Coco Pazzo

It was very good. It didn't blow my mind...but it was very good.

I broke my Lent rules on vacay. :(

After stuffing ourselves silly, it was time to head back to our favorite little neighborhood bar, the Grape Street Piano Bar.

And this time we were in luck...there was a piano player!

Okay, I said "in luck."

And don't get me wrong...the guy could sing...but he didn't know the words to "Don't Stop Believin."

C'mon man.

When there are 4 people in the bar, and you ask for requests, and that's the only one you get from all 4 of least be honest.

It was painful.

And then he followed up with Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places."

Anywho....the same bartender who was there on our first night was there again...and she made up for any wrong doing that the piano player may have done.

The hubs. Obviously enjoying his martini.

I, too, am enjoying mine.

Smiling through the sadness of someone not knowing Journey.

After a few martinis, it was time to head back to the hotel.

And before we knew it, it was morning. And time to get ready to go home.

As we left UPS that morning, (we shipped some of our clothes back since we had bought things in Chicago and didn't want to be over the weight limit on Megabus) we decided to grab breakfast at Mary's Cafe.

Biggest omelet ever. I mean just look at that thing. Yes, it also comes with that gignormo pancake.

Before we knew it, it was time to load the bus and make the 10 hour bus ride home.

Well, there ya go friends.

Our Chicago trip in a little nutshell.

Okay, maybe it wasn't SO little.

Thank you for riding in the passenger's seat as I traveled down memory lane.

My what a fun journey it was!

And now as the journey comes to a close, I can fill you in on what our plan of now...

The hubs and I plan to move to Chicago for 6 months to a year after I graduate this December and after he graduates next May.

At least that is our super wish/plan if all goes plan.

We have a lot to accomplish between now and suggested move time.

But it is our dream to move there and live for a short amount of time.

Especially before any little ones pop up.

So, we'll see.

We are living life right now as if that is our plan.

But, I know how God laughs at making plans.

So, I pray for his wisdom and guidance as the hubs and I make decisions and live our lives.

That's all I can do.

Again, thank you for traveling down memory lane with me!

Where would you live if you were only given a year there friends?

Much love, ;)
